Application

The following procedures apply to the application of PERMACRETE ® Matrix Mix over aluminum surfaces, but not steel or other types of metals (see Section 12 III of the Dealer Manual regarding other type metals).

• Thoroughly clean the surface. After cleaning, wipe the surface with acetone and allow to dry.


• Apply an even coat of Perma•Weld Mastic to the entire surface by using a soft bristle brush. Allow a minimum of one hour at 72° F to dry.


• Apply the PermaCrete skim coat. Allow a minimum of one hour at 72° F to dry.


• Apply the PermaCrete texture coat. Allow a minimum of one hour at 72° F to dry.


• Apply Perma•Seal Sealer and allow the surface to thoroughly cure at 72° F for 24 hours.

NOTE. For Perma•Poxy Enamel or Perma•Thane CRU-750 applications over aluminum, follow Step 1 above and then apply Perma•Prime E-Coat instead of Perma•Weld, before applying Perma•Poxy or Perma•Thane over Perma•Prime.
