| QUESTION: | Will pressure washing alone properly clean a surface? |
| ANSWER: | No! Pressure washing with clear water will not clean film, oil, grease, or other contaminants from the surface, but will merely blow away loose surface dirt and particles. A strong detergent cleaner such as Blue Nitro, or an equivalent, must be used. Be sure to remove all of the cleaner from the surface, as well.

| QUESTION: | Will muriatic acid properly clean surface? |
| ANSWER: | No!. Muriatic acid will NOT clean film, oil, grease, or other contaminants from the surface, but will only etch a smooth surface. A strong detergent cleaner such as Blue Nitro, or an equivalent, must be used. NOTE: Unless PERMA•CRETE® is being applied over a slick surface such as terrazzo or marble, etching is not required.

| QUESTION: | Can PERMA·CRETE® be applied over surface glue or painted surfaces? |
| ANSWER: | If a surface is used for vehicular traffic or anything other than light pedestrian traffic, al paid or glue must be removed by electric disk grinder or a paint and glue removal product such as Peel Away.
In some instances, PERMA·CRETE® may be applied to a painted surface (not one with carpet or linoleum glue) that is used for light pedestrian traffic, if it is first roughed up or lightly sanded and pressure washed with a minimum of 3,000-5,000 PSI. NOTE: Call our Technical Advisors with questions about specific installation projects. |
| QUESTION: | What is the main reason for adding Colorant to the Matrix Mixture? |
| ANSWER: | The Colorant is added so that, if any scrape or abrasion ever occurs on the Sealer Stain surface, the natural, off-white Matrix color will not show through. |
| QUESTION: | Can PERMA·CRETE® be applied in temperatures below 50° F and, if so, what problems are encountered?
|
| ANSWER: | For PERMA·CRETE® Matrix Mix, if it’s applied when surface or air temperatures are 40°- 50° F , slower set and longer cure times are encountered. Proper bonding to the surface is also more difficult to achieve under such conditions. NOTE: A minimum temperature rise of 3°- 4° F during application in these temperatures is required.
For POLAR·SET® Matrix Mix, it may be applied in a dry climate with low humidity in temperatures as low as 20°- 25° F.
