PermaPics: A look at some First Jobs

Eddie & Jerilyn Rogers - Topeka, KS

Husband and wife team Eddie and Jerilyn Rodgers of Topeka, KS came to the PermaCrete new Dealer Demonstration Class at the end of June 2007.

"We had a lot of concrete work we needed to do on our own house. As we began to look around the neighborhood, and the Topeka area in general, we realized the tremendous potential that existed for the PermaCrete system", comments Eddie.

"Neither Jerilyn or I had any previous experience in concrete decorative overlay. When we decided to move forward with establishing our Dealership, we were both excited and a little "nervous"! Everything on the PermaCrete website looked great, but we questioned whether we could do this ourselves".

"Gary Osterhoff was a great presenter; we really learned a lot in one day! We left raring to go and decided to tackle our driveway for our first project".

Eddie continues, "You learn a lot in training, but when you actually get out there and do the first job, you have a lot of new questions or have just forgotten a few things. We called David Harkins in the PermaCrete technical department numerous times. Gosh, he was very patient with us and he answered all of our questions. What a tremendous asset in helping us to complete our own driveway as our first job. We're really proud of it and are confident that it will lead to many other jobs in our area".

Great job Eddie and Jerilyn. We're proud of you too!

Stonewalker Concrete Solutions - Burlington, Ontario Canada

Debbie Rucker with Stonewalker Concrete Solutions has sent us this great First Job on a Pool Interior.

Debbie's partner, Gary Rawbon, did the installation, and according to Debbie, he had no prior concrete experience. The installation was done in 95°F temperatures, and Gray used multiple colors to create the tiles and blue PermaThane on the pool bottom for a uniform look. They are in the proccess of finishing the pool deck and patio.

While they were working on this project, the City of Burlington Ontario came by twice to look at the job and is now considering using PermaCrete for future city projects!

Way to go Debbie, and good luck on all of your future PermaCrete jobs.
